MY GOODBYE

THIS YEAR WAS REALLY FUN. I MET A LOT OF FRIENDS AND HAD MANY EXPERIENCES THAT I HAD NEVER HAD BEFORE. ITS TOO BAD THAT IM LEAVING CAUZE I WOULD HAVE ENJOYED STAYING HERE FOR A FEW MORE YEARS OR SO. I LEARNED A LOT ABOUT MY SELF THE YEAR I WAS HERE. I KNOW THAT I WILL NOT FORGET ANYONE OR ANYTHING I LEARNED HERE. HOPEFULLY I CAN COME BACK NEXT YEAR AND VISIT ALL MY TEACHERS AND FRIENDS

Achievement Gap

1. What you think causes the achievement gap?

I think it's the lack of encouragement and expetations.

2. What can students do to close the gap?

-They should study more.
-They should spend more time gettin help on things they need.
-Watch less t.v.

3. What can parents do?

-They can encourage kids to do better.
-Have higher expetations.
-Make kids to do perfect in school.

4. What can teachers/schools do?

-They can help out students more.
-Have days where we just study.
-Make learning more fun and involving.

Questions About Mr. Tom Hayden

1. What do you think of Mr. Hayden?

I Think that Mr.Hayden is a great leader.

2. Tom Hayden does not think of himself as a civil rights leader. Do you see him as one? Why or why not?

I do see him as a great leader cause he has leadership and everything a leader needs.

3. Tom Hayden feels that leaders are not as important as the hundreds or thousands of people behind them. What does he mean by that?

He means that its not about the leaders, its about the supporters. Without supporters they can't accomplish anything.

My Experience

1. What did you like the most about the Japanese American National Musuem?
The thing I liked the most was the ride to the musuem and the ride back to school.

2. Name one thing you learned.
I learned that when people go to a new country, they take their traditions, music, food, and clothes with them.

3. What did you learn about Japanese American experience?
I learned that they had it hard when Japan was at war with the u.s, they misbelieved the Japanese Americans to be spies and they would sabotage the plans for america so they did what they thought was best and sent them to concentration camps.
